An inspiring community event—Mora Día de la Cultura, scheduled for Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the MISD school auditorium from 9:30am-5:30pm. This day-long gathering celebrates the vibrant cultural heritage of Mora and nearby communities, fostering dialogue, pride, and healing through art, tradition, and shared stories.

Organized in collaboration with La Voz de Mora, Mora Mainstreet, Mainstreet de Las Vegas, Collaborative Visions, and MEDC and support from New Mexico Humanities Council. This event brings together community members, educators, artists, and local organizations to promote meaningful cultural exchange.

Camp Day @Rio Mora offers an enriching youth experience focused on exploration, learning and engagement with nature. Participants connect with the land through wildlife observation and outdoor activities to build teamwork and curiosity. The camp encourages environmental responsibility and the importance of protecting local ecosystems. The day is designed to be fun, educational and immerses youth in a safe and inspiring setting.

Syd Masters is an American singer and song writer of traditional western music. He is the author and recording artist of the Official State Cowboy Song of New Mexico, and has been recognized as The Academy of Western Artists National Male Vocalist of the Year. Twice. The Western Writers of America recently presented Syd with their 2024 “Song of the Year Award” for both 1st and 2nd place for two tracks from his new CD, Cowboy Songs. Another of his recent CD’s, Sunset on the Rio Grande Revisited, won the highly coveted Wrangler Award from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame & Western Heritage Museum for “Outstanding Traditional Western CD”.
